I'll start with the fact that this is my 1st time trying a Hawaiian restaurant. The restaurant itself if quite small and cozy, but enough seating for about 30 people, very quaint and personal with pictures of their customers along their walls. The menu has amazing options! And I was pleased to see a "happy anniversary" on our individual menu. Love that they took the time to celebrate me and my partner! The menu we had allowed us an option of a Prix Fixed option and I loved the flexibility that we did not both have to choose that, but one of us could order from the standard menu. I enjoy when a restaurant is easy and flexible, and with amazing drinks as well smile To start, we decided to try the chilled Hokkaido uni custard, this was much more generous than expected. The freshness of the uni and the crab was really enjoyable! I loved every velvety bite I had, and was left craving more As the main dish, we ordered the mochiko chicken loco moco... I have never tasted anything better than this! The crispy chicken was served over a bed of rice and macaroni salad that was unlike anything I've had before, with the delicious gravy and egg placed on top of it. The chicken was pleasantly moist and flavorful, with a mild smokiness and great savory notes that I didn't expect. We also ordered the crab fried rice, and this blew my mind as well! I could taste the smokiness, and a flavor reminiscent of plantain leaves covering the rice somehow was it cooks. The rice was served with some small pieces of nori on top that also gave it an additional depth of flavor. Easily one of my favorite dishes! Another mind blowing bite was definitely the masubi which had scallop and caviar, and I added uni on top which just made it even more over the top! The flavor was salty, and creamy, and just incredibly delicious! I just can't explain how delicious this experience was! And I cannot wait to return with an even bigger appetite!

Really enjoyed our dinner here at restaurant week. Much better menu / selection than most other restaurant week menus. We had the poke and the fried pork for appetizers, both good (but the poke was the better dish). The shrimp rice bowl was awesome and the chicken one was good too. I liked the pineapple dessert although it's more about presentation than taste, but the pineapple was great. There was another coconut ice cream dessert (hawai pie or something) that was really good. Great overall experience.

Loved this spot! Came here with two friends for restaurant week (month?) and ordered: Yuzu Highball - delicious Yuzu Soda - also great Poststickers - good but would skip next time Corn & Cheese - delicious Crab & Uni Custard - omg soooo good Chicken Loco Moco - perfect, no notes Pineapple Brûlée - a tiny bit salty Service was friendly. They were slammed and forgot a dish but we were also all so full it didnt matter and they were really accommodating to my friend's food allergy. Dining space is small but the pictures of guests on the walls were cute and everyone seemed just as happy as we were to be there. I'd 100% come back with friends, a date or alone. It made me miss Hawaii for sure.

I've been wanting to come here for a while, and I'm so glad I finally got to try this place out! I love Hawaiian food, but there really aren't that many places selling it in the city. The restaurant is quite small inside, but it's very cute with all the polaroids hanging up. We got the Japanese scallop and spicy salmon musubi, mochiko chicken loco moco, and mentaiko spaghetti to share. I've never had musubi that wasn't spam and egg before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. These were delicious though! I loved how they were cut into three pieces, making them easy to share. I could've eaten so many more myself. The chicken was crunchy with a nice chew from the mochiko. The mentaiko spaghetti was fine, nothing special. Overall, it was the perfect amount of food for three people. Our waiter was so nice, and he took a a polaroid of us at the end of the meal. I would recommend making a reservation, especially for a weekend dinner.
